2008 Cottage Life Photo Contest
Picture-perfect moments are easy to come by at the cottage: a loon so close to your
canoe that you can count the white spots on its feathers; plump wild blueberries, bursting out after a rain;
a reckless, joyful cannonball on a sweltering afternoon. Capturing these moments in a perfect picture,
however, is tough. It often takes patience, or luck, or both. And always a little skill.
Well, we hope you’ve been practising, because the 2008 Cottage Life Photo Contest is here. Show us how creative, original, and technically adept you are by submitting your best shots in any of our four categories. The 12 winners will each receive a Nikon prize and have their photos published in Cottage Life.
Contest closes on Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2008
- Online entries will be accepted until 11:59 p.m. on Sept. 3.
- Entries by mail need to be postmarked on or before Sept. 3.
Categories
Life at the Cottage
Where friends, family, pets, and the cottage itself are the stars of the photo.
Landscapes
Any shots that predominantly feature the land, water, or sky.
Nature
Shots showcasing wild plants and animals in their natural environments.
Kids Only
Images of cottage life taken by kids 15 years of age and younger.
Entry deadline
Postmarked or uploaded by Wednesday, September 3, 2008.
