The Intake Interceptor is a foot valve filter that attaches to your existing 1 & 1/4" brass foot valve in seconds. This filter is designed to remove large particulate down to 25 microns. Sand, silt, sediment, weeds, algae, zebra mussels, etc. are removed at the source. This protects your pump from damaging sediments and zebra mussels, as well as aesthetically cleaning your utility water.
The filter bags may be cleaned once (depending on clarity of the source water) with a soft scrub brush.
Once flow has been diminished, the filter bag needs to be replaced. The filter bag has a max. flow-rate of 50
GPM - that's five times the maximum flow rate of a typical jet pump!
The Intake Interceptor comes with one filter bag installed & one spare filter bag.
