Official Rules & Regulations
1. This contest is sponsored by Cottage Life (“Quarto Communications”) .
Eligibility
2. This contest is open to residents of Canada who have achieved the age of majority, EXCLUDING the province of Quebec. Employees of Quarto Communications and prize-sponsoring companies and their respective immediate families and employees, and their advertising and promotional agencies are also excluded.
To Enter
3. The Taste of Cottage Life contest opens February 8, 2008, 9:00am (EDT) and closes March 21, 4:00pm (EDT) (the " Contest Period"). Only eligible entries received during the Contest Period will be entered in the Contest. Your completed online registration form will serve as your entry ballot for the contest.
4. Entrants can only enter the contest once during the contest period. No purchase necessary to enter, although online access, contact information, and an E-mail account are required in order to participate.
5. Enter by logging on to www.cottagelife.com during the Contest Period and completing the ballot.

6. There will be one (1) random draw. The prize includes: one Cottage Life vintage hoodie sweatshirt, one Cottage Life cap, one set of 4 mugs, two one-day tickets to The Spring Cottage Life Show. Retail value of Prize: $130 CDN. Prize must be accepted as awarded and is not transferable or convertible to cash. Prize may be picked up at The Spring Cottage Life Show, or will be mailed to winner at Cottage Life's expense. Cottage Life reserves the right to substitute prize items of equal or greater value if necessary.
Draw
7. Odds of winning depend on the number of ballots received before Contest deadline 4:00pm (EDT) on March 23, 2007.
8. A random draw will be held on March 24 at 10:00am (EDT), at Cottage Life magazine’s head office: 54 St. Patrick Street, Toronto, Ontario, from all ballots received by the draw deadline for the Contest. Only online entries will be eligible.
General Conditions
9. All entries are subject to verification and will be declared invalid if they are illegible, incomplete, forged, falsified, altered, or tampered with in any way.
10. In order to win, selected entrants must first correctly answer, unaided, a time-limited, mathematical, skill-testing question administered by telephone, e-mail, or mail.
11. To be declared a winner and claim the Prize, the potential winner must be reachable by phone within two (2) business days following the random draw at the phone number listed on the entrant’s online registration form.
12. Should the potential winner not be reached during the two (2) business days period for any reason, including, but not limited to, the fact that the potential winner has a call privacy feature on his/her phone, or if the potential winner does not meet all of the contest conditions as set out herein, the prize(s) shall be automatically forfeited by that potential winner.
13. All entries shall become the property of the Contest Sponsors.
14. The winning entrant may be required to sign a declaration and release from liability. The winner agrees to permit Cottage Life to publish the winner’s name, address, photograph, or likeness without further compensation to the winner, in any publicity carried out by Contest Sponsors.
15. The Prize will be considered null and void and without value on April 30, 2008.
16. The prize must be accepted as offered and a substitute or exchange is not possible.
17. This Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws, and is void where prohibited by law.
18. The winner releases the organizers and sponsors of the contest, as well as their advertising and promotional agencies, from liability for any damage or prejudice arising out of the awarding and use of the prize.
19. The names, addresses, or any other personal information obtained from the Contest participants will only be used, with the consent of the participants, for future research and communication of new products/promotions. For details, please refer to the Privacy Policy on the Cottage Life website.
The Contest is void where prohibited by law and is subject to all federal, provincial, and municipal laws and regulations. The Contest and the terms and conditions contained in these rules shall be exclusively governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the province of Ontario. Any dispute arising hereunder shall be adjudicated in the applicable court in Toronto, Ontario.
