The Cottage Life Environment Grant

Thank you for your interest in the Cottage Life Environment Grant.
We are no longer accepting applications for this year.
We hope to announce the recipients of the 2010 grants by the end of March.
Do you want to…

Do water-testing on your lake?
Protect fragile wildlife habitat?
Help the environment in other ways at your cottage or in your cottage community?

The natural environment is an important part of what makes cottaging enjoyable. The call of the loon, a moose sighting, swimming in a clean freshwater lake or river—these experiences make cottaging memorable. We have a responsibility to protect the ecosystems we value so much, and to make sure that they remain healthy for generations to come.

It’s with that goal in mind that we introduce the Cottage Life Environment Grant. This program will provide financial assistance to projects that will preserve and enhance the environment of cottage country.

What is the Cottage Life Environment Grant?

What is the Cottage Life Environment Grant?

Individuals and/or groups may apply for grants of up to $5,000 to fund their projects. The size and scope of projects may range from a single cottager or family aiming to rehabilitate their shoreline, for example, to a cottage association seeking financial assistance in developing a large-scale lake plan. No project is too small to qualify. Grant recipients and amounts awarded will be determined by a Cottage Life panel of experts.

The Cottage Life Environment Grant replaces the Green Cottager Awards
