Cottage Party Kit Contest

Official Rules & Regulations
ENTRY IN THIS CONTEST CONSTITUTES ACCEPTANCE OF THESE CONTEST RULES.

1. This Cottage Party Kit Contest (the “Contest”) is sponsored by Cottage Life (“Quarto Communications”) and Sirius Canada Inc., (“SIRIUS”)(hereinafter referred to as the “Contest Sponsor(s)”).

Eligibility
2. This contest is open to residents of Canada who have achieved the age of majority in their province of residence at time of entry, EXCLUDING the province of Quebec. Employees of the Contest Sponsors and their respective immediate families and employees of SIRIUS advertising and promotional agencies are also excluded.

To Enter
3. The Contest opens February 28, 2008, 9 a.m. (EDT) and closes November 30, 2008, 3:59 p.m. (EDT) (the "Contest Period"). Only eligible entries received during the Contest Period will be entered in the Contest. Entrants’ completed online registration form will serve as the entry ballot for the Contest.

4. Entrants can only enter the Contest once during the Contest Period. No purchase necessary to enter, although online access, provision of an entrants contact information, and a valid E-mail address are required in order to participate.

Enter by logging on to www.cottagelife.com during the Contest Period and completing the ballot. All ballots must be received no later than November 30, 2008, 3:59 p.m. (EDT).

Prize
5. There will be one (1) random draw for the Contest prize. The prize consists of: a custom-designed barbecue, a SIRIUS Sportster 5 plug-and-play radio, a SIRIUS Universal Boombox, and a one year subscription of service to SIRIUS Satellite Radio. Retail value of the prize: $700.00 CDN. Prize must be accepted as awarded and is not substitutable, transferable or convertible to cash. Prize is available for pick-up at Cottage Life in downtown Toronto. Shipping on this prize is not available due to customized barbecue.

Draw
6. Odds of winning depend on the number of ballots received before the Contest deadline.

7. A random draw will be held on December 3, 2008 at 12:00 p.m. (EDT), at Cottage Life magazine’s head office: 54 St. Patrick Street, Toronto, Ontario, from all ballots received by the draw deadline. Only online entries will be eligible.

General Conditions
8. All entries are subject to verification and will be declared invalid if they are illegible, incomplete, forged, falsified, altered, or tampered with in any way.

9. In order to win, selected entrants must first correctly answer, unaided, a time-limited, mathematical, skill-testing question administered by telephone, e-mail, or mail.

10. To be declared a winner and claim the prize, the potential winner must be reachable by phone within five (5) business days following the random draw at the phone number listed on the entrant’s online registration form.

11. Should the potential winner not be reached during the five (5) business days period for any reason, including, but not limited to, the fact that the potential winner has a call privacy feature on his/her phone, or if the potential winner does not meet all of the contest conditions as set out herein, the prize(s) shall be automatically forfeited by that potential winner.

12. All entries shall become the property of the Contest Sponsors.

13. The winning entrant may be required to sign a declaration and release from liability. The winner agrees to permit the Contest Sponsors to publish the winner’s name, address, photograph, or likeness without further compensation to the winner, in any publicity carried out by Contest Sponsors.

14. If the Contest Sponsors are unable to award the prize, it will be considered null and void and without value on December 31, 2008.

15. The Contest Sponsors reserve the right to replace the prize with a prize of equal or greater value.

16. The winner releases the Contest Sponsors, as well as their advertising and promotional agencies, from liability for any damage or prejudice arising out of the awarding and use of the prize.

17. The names, addresses, or any other personal information obtained from the Contest participants will only be used, with the consent of the participants, for future research and communication of new products/promotions. The Contest is void where prohibited by law and is subject to all federal, provincial, and municipal laws and regulations. The Contest and the terms and conditions contained in these rules shall be exclusively governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the province of Ontario. Any dispute arising hereunder shall be adjudicated in the applicable court in Toronto, Ontario.
