How to whip a rope into shapeWhen your lines start to fray, whipping the ends with twine will get everything looking ship-shape in no time. Step 1Lay a loop of whipping twine close to the end of a twisted or braided line. Wrap tightly, working away from the bitter, or tail, end. Step 2When the length of the whipping is about the same as the diameter of the rope, thread the twine through the loop. Step 3Pull on the bitter end of the twine to draw the loop snugly under the whipping (it should be very tight) and snip off the ends of the twine. |
