New PCOC deadline
As of September 15,
2009, you need to carry proof of competency while you’re operating any watercraft fitted with a motor. The
most common form of proof is the Pleasure Craft Operator Card (PCOC), which is issued after the completion of
an accredited course and does not expire. Beat the rush and get certified this summer so you don’t risk the
$250 fine.
