SECOND PRIZE: Quick Herb Bannock // Helena McShane IngredientsInstructions: 1. Combine dry ingredients in mixing bowl. Mix well. Make a well in the centre. Pour in cold water and stir until a sticky dough is formed. 2. Turn out onto a floured surface and knead lightly 1 minute. Shape dough into a round cake about 9" (23 cm) in diameter and 3/4" (2 cm) thick on greased baking sheet. 3. Bake at 350°F (180°C) for 25-30 minutes, or until bottom is golden and toothpick inserted in centre of bannock comes out clean. Cut into wedges and serve warm. Makes about 12 servings. Cottage Tips:
