Cheddar and Onion Toasties // Margaret Houston IngredientsInstructions: 1. Butter one side of each slice of bread. 2. Mix cheese, onion, Scotch, salt, and pepper. Spread mixture on unbuttered side of 2 slices of bread. Put remaining slices on top, buttered side up. 3. Fry in cast-iron frying pan or on griddle, turning once, until golden brown and crispy on both sides. Cut into triangles and serve hot. Makes 2 sandwiches. Cottage Tips:
