COTTAGE LIFE RECIPE CONTEST WINNER, 2003

Fish Fry // Marikay Files - Georgian Bay, ON

Ingredients   
1 1/2 lbs of fresh fish fillets 1 cup of butter milk 1 cup of fine cornmeal 3 tbsp butter Jar of  store bought salsa ( mild, medium, hot)
Instructions:

1. Dip filets in buttermilk. Then season in cornmeal to coat evenly.
2. Heat butter in heavy frying pan over medium heat. Fry fish until lightly browned on one side, about 5 mins. Turn & cook the other side a minute or two more, depends on the type of fish.
3. Serve fillets from the pan with salsa on side. (Serve on a bun for fish burger for kids)
