Red Bean Hummus

This recipe was a hit at the 2009 Spring Cottage Life Show
Ingredients
1 - 15 ounce can red kidney beans
2 cloves garlic, crushed
¼ cup chopped fresh cilantro
juice of 2 limes
2 tablespoons sesame oil
1 teaspoon chili powder
½ cup chopped green onion
½ teaspoon salt
fresh ground pepper to taste
1. Rinse kidney beans under cold water.
2. Place ingredients in a food processor and blend until smooth.
3. Chill for 1 hour before serving.
Serve with crackers or on slices of grilled French bread topped with chopped red pepper and a pinch of fresh cilantro.
Makes 2 ¼ cups
