    If you’re looking for a cottagey moment in your dreary urban day click over to this site, maintained by the Eagle Lake Conservation Association – visitors are greeted with the haunting sound of a loon’s call. The site also includes a history of the lake, located outside of South River, Ont.
  • Georgian Bay Association

    An umbrella group encompassing 20 local associations. Link to many of those associations’ sites, view a large selection of photos taken around the north and eastern shores of the bay, find out about association events, and download issues of the GBA Update newsletter going back to 1997. The site has a boater and cottager code, research on water quality and levels, wildlife, fisheries, invasive species, taxation, First Nations issues, renewable energy, and telephone service, to name a few. You can donate to the group's charitable foundation, the Georgian Bay Area Foundation, from the website.

    The Kennebec Lake Association website provides links to relevant sites for cottagers and also archives its newsletters. Past articles include a visual explanation of loon behaviour and a piece on the advantages of high water on the lake. As well as including geographic information about the lake, the site also features a NASA-supplied shot of the region from space.
