Cottage Dock Party

You're invited to drop in at the 2010 Spring Cottage Life Show's annual Cottage Dock Party. It's a perfect preview of what lies ahead this summer, long sunny days and nights spent on the cool of the dock. At the Show you'll enjoy laid-back music, "docktails" and an opportunity to freshen your socializing skills with fellow cottagers.

Chair-ity Auction for Cottage Dreams

At the Dock Party you'll admire one-of-a-kind Muskoka chairs that have been painted by local artists. Check them out, and take a look at the painted canoe paddles, too. They'll be auctioned and all proceeds donated to Cottage Dreams, a Cancer Recovery Initiative. This is a rare opportunity to own a unique piece of cottage-country art, and help the families of recovering cancer patients by providing much-appreciated cottage retreats.

Best Butter Tart Ever

The votes are in. Cottage Life readers told us how they like their butter tarts and we turned to celebrity chef and television host Anna Olson to create the Best Butter Tart Ever, using our readers' input. Pleasure Craft Operator Card Testing

You may have missed the September '09 deadline for obtaining proof of competence for operation of a pleasure craft, but here's a chance to put things right. At the Show, head for Hall 3A and take the BOATsmart! Canada Challenge Exam. You'll need that Pleasure Craft Operator Card – in 2010, you can't launch your boat without it.

Cottage Kitchen

Sample the best food and wine cottage country has to offer! Watch and learn as our fabulous cooking experts demonstrate their culinary expertise and provide guests with great food pairing ideas in the Cottage Kitchen. Jane Rodmell and Tony Armstrong will be sharing recipes from the pages of Cottage Life magazine. BBQ guru Ted Reader will drop by with some grilling tips.
