Season’s eatings!

Add an iconic gingerbread loon to your holiday cookie assortment. The loon cookie made its debut in Cottage Life 15 years ago – and we’ve brought it back for an encore. Children love decorating the loons, and they make great tree ornaments. You can use any favourite gingerbread recipe for this little project.

Tips:

  • Flour the cardboard template as it might stick to your dough.
  • The template is a fairly large size - perfect for using as an ornament (see photos below). But your waistline will thank you if you use your photocopier to reduce the template size for those cookies you intend to eat!
