Apple Cider - Hot or Cold
Whether the evening is chilly or sultry, here’s an easy hot or cold cocktail, developed by Michelle Hunt and Laura Panter of the Martini Club in Toronto. Grand Marnier and rye add an intriguing complexity to the familiar apple flavour, but please don’t offer one to Cottage Life’s publisher and founder, Al Zikovitz – he’s allergic to apples. (So give the poor guy a martini.) ColdTo a tall glass filled with ice, add 1 oz. Grand Marnier, 1/2 oz rye, and 4 oz. fresh apple juice. Stir to mix. Garnish with a cinnamon stick and apple slices. HotTo a heatproof mug, add 1 oz. Grand Marnier, 1/2 oz rye, and 4 oz. hot apple cider. Stir to mix. Garnish wish apple zest and a cinnamon stick.
