Give turtle hatchlings a better chance at survival with this DIY turtle nest protector

Between April and October, male and female turtles are on the move, and cottagers will often spot the females during nesting season in June. Turtles tend to lay their eggs in gravel or sand and after depositing them the hatchlings are left to fend for themselves.
